This may sound like a slightly odd combination; wasabi and celeriac, but trust me, it’s really good! I think it’s no secret that I like to experiment with food and this was one test case that really worked! You only need a little wasabi to give this a subtle kick that just makes your celeriac slaw that little bit more exciting. It’s also goes with many dishes; salads, cold meats, fish and in sandwiches. It was especially great in a salmon wrap I made which I shall share with you all tomorrow.
– 65g celeriac – peeled and cut into strips the size of matchsticks
– 1 apple – washed, cored and roughly sliced
– Juice ½ lemon
– 2 tbsp mayonnaise
– 1/3 tsp wasabi paste
– 1 tsp chives
Simply combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Season to taste with fresh salt and pepper.
